We May Lose Our Life Savings, but We’ll Still Have to Eat!

So, tomorrow is payday, and that means grocery shopping day.  I was planning to do my monthly $300 trip to BJ’s, but with financial crisis looming, I’ve decided to change course.  I think I will hoarde most of my $300, and instead see how cheaply I can shop at the local market, stocking up for just the next couple of weeks.

Before planning my menus I decided to do a little research.  I am passing along the following website…it might come in handy.

Lettuce soup…yummy!!  *gag*gag*

Please feel free to share your frugal, (but tasty) recipes in the comments!

I took this from “Cajunrecipies.com” but Betty says it was a WWII ration based cake…where ever it came from it is so yummy I dream about it.
