As if I Needed One More Thing to Feel Guilty About….

So, today, Oprah does a piece on free range animals, and the more traditionally raised animals…you know…teeny cages, little movement, smelly barns.  She shares an “in depth” look at each of these types of farms, and then tells us that she is not telling us how we should think, she is simply trying to “educate” us so we can make a choice based on our own values.

YEAH RIGHT!!!

So in other words, “If you think it’s okay to mistreat animals, keeping them in little crates where they can’t move, getting diseases cause they sit in their own feces, then you keep right on eating that cheap ol’ meat.  But if you have one teensy little humane bone in your body, you’ll do the right thing and spend a few more of those pennies you don’t have to buy the right meat, thereby saving the animal world from these cruel and unusual punishments.”

Crap.  Now I have to read labels…

Signed,

Kanniduba…saving the world one little free range ham at a time.

Or you could look at it this way… by buying that cheap ol’ meat (because you can’t afford the expensive stuff) you’re putting those poor animals in the tiny cages out of their misery that much faster.
And if you have one teensy little humane bone in your body, you’ll do the right thing and not buy ANY meat, and become a vegetarian 😉
    (No, I’m not a vegetarian)
Maybe Oprah could buy everyone the expensive meat?

Which one Shrew? Free Range vs. “Abused”, Oprah, guilt, Global Warming, or The Election? Oh, wait….I never mentioned Global Warming or The Election, did I?! Whoopsy!

Well thank you! You obviously have an idea of the issues and know the compelling reasons for change. And if it were not for others being tenacious and getting truths exposed – I would never have known what now makes perfect sense! 🙂
It’s just a matter of getting the message out:
