Well, now, I don’t think I will be able to consider myself a real Strobist……ever! (Trust me, I don’t like the thing THAT much!). (I WAS tempted to photograph my setup with my camera phone, but thought that would be a bit much. Ha!)
However, I will tell you what I did anyway.
This is a slice of orange suspended with one of those fridge pincher magnets and a chopstick in a wine glass. The liquid is actually Smirnoff Ice, undrunk and left forgotten in the basement fridge. It was destined to serve a higher purpose apparently. 😉
This was shot with my 50mm lens stacked on my two smaller extension tubes. Ambient light was the bright snow reflecting kitchen window at the back and the flash was on-camera at -1 exposure comp. (f/10 at 1/200s, 1000 ISO because I forgot to change it from the other day. I know I know…rookie mistake!) Is that all I’m supposed to disclose if I am to reach for Srobist status? 🙂
I’m guessing that it’s a glass of flavoured fizzy drink just poured… but that said, this photo would be upside down as the clear bubbles would be on the top???
After that I am stumped… please tell us what this wonderful mystery photo is!

Gosh I have to start looking at my chopsticks in a new light… as photographic tools LOL.
One teeny, tiny, miniscule crit. The horizontal line is ever-so-slightly off level. In macro (and super-macro 🙂 ) the details become even more important.
Have you looked at this image rotated 180 degrees (golden color on the bottom)?
You know Tracy, you’re right! I did notice it initially but thought it was an optical illusion because of the bubbles. And no I haven’t rotated it.
Looks like I will have to revisit this image later. 🙂 Thanks!
A Half Hour a Day 
That is a perfectly wonderful image. It sent bubbles of delight fizzing through my morning. Flash is an interesting tool. The vision is in you.

Forgot to mention I used a homemade bounce card….I was so close, the flash was going right over my subject otherwise.

I was pleasantly surprised by those big bubbles that adhered to the bottom ridge of the orange. 🙂
