A Bit More Fall Before it Passes Us By…

The trees are quickly going bare now that we’ve had some rain.  Brown is all we’ll see until the snow washes it clean for awhile.  My girls are complaining already about having to wear their winter coats, but with 33 degree mornings, and afternoons just reaching 55, there is no choice.  (Cue Music Maven…)  😉

Here’s a photo of my backyard taken over the weekend.  That tree is nearly naked today.

The Whole Story…

So, that driveway….you know, this one:

Well, it leads to 60 acres of land owned by Zan’s uncle…complete with streams and fields, and paths.  Apparently, he’s thinking about selling it.  I, being the sentimental fool that I am says, “Aw…what a shame it will be to have that leave the family…it’s a beautiful day…let’s go for a ride to see it!”  I’m thinking photo opportunities…and then we started driving up that driveway and my heart clenched with love for the property.  Now, I am a town girl, not a country girl, and I love my home, the schools, our neighbors, so moving is not an option.  However, I would not say no to a little cottage retreat in the middle of the woods.  That is, if we could ever afford to buy it, which we can’t.  *big*sigh*

But I did get lots of pictures…Enjoy!
