The focus of our lives has undoubtedly been the renovation project.
However, my camera did capture something other than nails and framing and insulation over the past couple of weeks:
This summer? So far, so great! 🙂

So, today I saw that Gerry posted her moon photos and Scott posted his sunset photo from Saturday night and I hadn’t even looked at mine yet. For shame!! So I got right on it.
Zan and I took the family on a Moon Hunt. We piled into the van, stopped for ice cream, and drove out to a prime viewing location a few minutes away. We sat for about half an hour waiting for the spectacle. But as we waited, another glorious spectacle unfolded. My disappointing moon photos will have to wait until tomorrow. Mommy duty calls.
Balloon Festival 2011 was last weekend. Although nearly all the launches were cancelled due to lousy weather, Saturday night’s liftoff was glorious. I was unable to go to the airport with the family because of the walking involved, so instead I went out to a little known spot to view the liftoff from the comfort of my car. The sky put on a better show than the balloons did! Here are a few shots.
These shots are taken from my bedroom window. Beautiful sky tonight.
