So, I was on the top deck, taking some early morning photos midweek. This very large “seagull” comes flying my way…an “odd” looking seagull. Looked like it had something hanging underneath it, but I couldn’t really see it clearly. I started snapping away. This is what I captured!

Cool, eh?
Hey! Uber cool! And, you already have a fish photo for the challenge!
Ivory!! LOL You’re right! I was actually lamenting the fact that I had forgotten to seek out fish to photo for the challenge! Perfect! Thanks for being my brain. 😉
I wonder if that bird could be an osprey. I took some pictures of parent osprey in their nest with their young recently. I’ll have to go look at mine again and compare.
karmardav, I’m no bird expert, but I’m pretty sure it was an osprey.

We saw several of them throughout the week, and a couple more carrying fish. Very neat! 🙂 At one point, there were three flying in a row, about six inches above the water, and we watched as they followed each other, hunting up and down the beach. They were most easily spotted early in the morning.
Oh, and karmardav, I’d love to see those photos!
Very kewl.
