A Half Hour a Day

Well, it’s mid-August which means County Fair time in these here parts.  😉

Although we only spent a couple of hours there last night (missing some of the more exciting things like rides and sausage and peppers) we did manage to see a lot of livestock, and enjoy some shakes and sugar fritters.  🙂  My camera was very excited about the outing.  Here is a sampling…more on flickr if you’re interested!

And then there was a group of Amish couples…At a distance I ignorantly thought “reenactors” and then realized as we ambled closer to the group that these were in fact modern day Amish citizens.  I   couldn’t resist snapping a shot of the group, but this gentleman in particular commanded my attention.  I thought the black and white treatment fitting in this case.
