Well, it turns out that 3 out of 5 of us have been landed with a nasty cold…this one hit hard and fast, and me and Little Girl are the only ones still standing at this point. We decided that the tradition must go on even though we were -3 people. It was a bit lonely, but we made it our mission to bring back a kajillion pictures to share.
It started off foggy, but began to clear as the sun rose. Here are a few from our excursion. Enjoy!

A Half Hour a Day 
I’ve taken photos of a hot air balloons launching (or in the case this year, staying on the ground) but never thought to chase some down. Do you follow the chase vechicles or do it by yourself?
KD, these are spectacular! Might I suggest you get a smugmug account and upload these. Why? Smugmug has a variety of gallery quality prints! These are so worthy of big glossy prints. OR- or even better…visit http://www.blurb.com and make a book. Promise me you will do that friend!
stphoto…Sorry you didn’t have a very good launch out by you…We chase them down on our own. If you happen to run across the chase vehicles, you know for sure you are heading in the right direction! 🙂 They take off from a small airport which is surrounded by farmland, so it’s easy to chase here. You just see where the wind is taking them, and start driving. In fact, it’s not hard to get a bit lost on those backroads, especially since you are paying more attention to the skies than the roads! *chuckle* By the time you are ready to go home, you have to figure out where the heck you are!
