To Kick Off the Next Holiday

Music is the backdrop of our lives, and that is most apparent during the Christmas season.  I share with you a small collection of my favorites.  Enjoy!

My very favorite…I listen to this one first to put me in the right frame of mind…It helps me keep Christmas in perspective.

And then Zan and I dance in our kitchen to this one every day after Thanksgiving…trust me…the video is much sexier than our dance in the kitchen, with Mister trying to climb up our legs!  🙂

And this one brings back memories!  Talk about sexy….

And here’s a tearjerker…

Love this…

And this pair together…classic!

And here’s our boy havin’ a good ol’ time!

Doesn’t it just figure….

And just when I thought everything was going smoothly, Mister woke up from today’s nap with a 102 degree fever.  Yikes!  He’s very sweet and quiet right now.  The calm before the scary storm.  Wish us luck!

Update:  Been battling Mister’s 104 degree fevers for 28 hours now…doing the alternating Tylenol and Motrin trick to keep him around 102…He’s actually doing really well.  You’d never know he’s running so hot.  As long as he keeps drinking we’ll be okay.  Dr. thinks it’s Roseola since ears/throat/lungs/nose are all clear.  Just have to wait for the telltale rash in three or four days to be sure.  Just adds to the excitement.  Wait…is my throat feeling a little sore, or is it my imagination?  *ahhehehem*

Happy Thanksgiving

Well, I still have a list the length of my arm to finish by Wednesday even though we’ve been going nonstop for a week!  I have my sister-in-law’s family coming in from out of town on Wednesday morning, and will be cooking my eleventh annual Thanksgiving dinner for 20 on Thursday.  We finished painting the living room yesterday, and hung the rest of the shades.  Still have to scrape the paint off four window, paint a radiator, vacuum/dust, scrub the downstairs floors (upstairs got done yesterday), disinfect bathrooms, and clear off the dining room table that is still piled with all the stuff we moved in order to paint the living room.  BUT, I *think* it will all get done with time to spare if Mister Baby Boy chooses to be cooperative today.

In any case, I don’t know if I will get a chance to post again before the holiday, so I wanted to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!  There are so many things I am thankful for, I couldn’t even begin to list them all…I’d be here all day!  But I will say that on that list are all of you who stop by here each day…you have taught me how to “see” and that has been a very precious gift.  Thank you!

Many blessings to all of you and your families.

Holiday Dinner with Gordon

Only Gordon Ramsay would make his children fatten up the turkeys for their holiday celebration.  If you’re not into watching turkeys get stunned to death and plucked, skip Episode 8.  *shudder*
