I went out this morning looking for a shot for Lesson 2 on “storytelling” and “depth of field.” These shots may not *quite* fit the bill for my assignment, but I was still drawn to them somehow.

A Half Hour a Day 
I think the top picture is Amazing. I spend alot of time in cities for work. This picture captures the essence of what is home to me. Farmland, piles of snow, barren trees that await an awakening. I even feel the silent calm that is felt when you are out in the cold around here. There is actually an almost imperceptible sound when snow falls. I hear it looking at this picture. Amazing.
I like the way you cropped the picture. I just saw the ice on the window picture below- awesome.
