Real Men Wear Pink (Just Not in the Zanduba House)

So, my son, my darling Mister Baby Boy, the one who loves cars, spotted the girls’ old Barbie Jeep in the garage a few weeks ago.  The air was rent with the music of a thousand harps, and rainbows and butterflies ascended at once from the depths of the garage where the abandoned Jeep sat, powerless and unused.  My darling boy was in love…his very first crush. (Well, maybe his second…he was pretty turned on by Magdalena the Mermaid when he was just six months old.)

So anyway, for the past couple of weeks Mister has been driving around in his pink and purple Barbie car, much to the amusement of Dear Neighbor Man.  Zan hasn’t been quite so amused.  I didn’t have a photo of Barbie Jeep, but I found this one on the internet as an example:

Barbie Jeep before

Having his son drive around in a pink and purple Barbie Jeep got to be a bit too much for Zan’s sense of masculinity, so one trip to Lowe’s and a few cans of spray paint later….TA-DA!!!

A Jeep fit for a “REAL MAN!”  Man-liness  saved!

LOL that\’s too funny that he painted it!
Now if the situation was reversed and your youngest was a girl and your older two were boys, I doubt he would have run out to get pink and purple spray paint, right?
The \”man jeep\” did turn out pretty cool, though.

Actually Daily, as Anywho said, Zan would’ve painted it for the girls…complete with stenciled flowers and butterflies if they wanted them! lol But there is something to be said for the fact that he takes it upon himself to protect our son’s “manhood.” He’s been outnumbered for so long, I think he’s excited to boost the testosterone levels in the house any chance he gets. 🙂

Zan would have painted it pink for his girls for sure! Great job! I think it is way cooler than anything in the store!

Hilarious! I bet your son was pleased with the new paint job. Bottom line is a car is a car.

He loves his new car Karen, but he does keep asking, “Other car go???” LOL

Wow, talented dude Zan must be! I think if we had ever had a boy my hubby would have probably just painted the whole jeep black. He never would have had the patience for that paint job.
