Head Count

Just feeling the need to check in on all my blogging buddies.  The flu is running rampant in these here parts.  I don’t know many families not affected at this point.  So far Mister had a “flu-like illness” about three weeks ago which he got over quite quickly, followed by Big Girl who came down with the full blown down-n-out “probably swine flu” flu a few days later.  Poor girl was down for about 5 days, then recovered enough to go to school and rejoin her volleyball team, but hasn’t been able to kick it entirely.  Tonight she’s slipping back into fever, achy chest, and a sore ear.  Secondary infection, here we come.

So far feeling very thankful that we’re doing as well as we are.

Hope you’re all doing fine, and staying healthy!  Just give us a wave in the comments to let us all know you’re alive and well!  If you’re not, the rest of us can send some good thoughts or prayers your way.  *MUAH*

So far, ***knocking on wood*** my family is good. The school district I work in, not so good. I’m at the middle school, but the K-2 school in that town is shut down for the rest of the week per order of the state health dept. because more than 20% of that school’s students are out. My older daughter has asthma, so she has an appointment for the H1N1 vaccine, but the rest of us apparently are not eligible at this point.

Hope you all are doing as well as you can!

Glad to hear you’re family is doing well so far Karma.
Once Big Girl gets healthy, she’ll be getting the H1N1 vaccine even though she may have already been sick with it. Her doctor is insisting because of the asthma. The other two kids won’t qualify until the next shipment comes in. I’m a severe asthmatic (though well controlled) so qualify, but my own doctor’s office still hasn’t gotten a shipment. Things are crazy around here!
But we are doing well, considering.

OH, OH, OH…thoughts and well wishes to Big Gal there!! The only good thing about being sick at this time of year at her age is getting to watch endless hours of Hitchcock on AMC and Turner Movie Classics.

    So far…*knocking on karma’s wood* so good…but I do have…

      LOL
      Great! Glad that’s all you’ve got! 🙂

I’ll have to clue Big Girl in on Hitchcock. She’s been in her glory because of all the creepy ghost/haunting/scariest place shows on right now because of Halloween. *shaking head* She loves getting freaked out!

I’m here, I’m here!! We’re doing good so far in this neck of the woods, although older stepdaughter says she doesn’t feel well and her boyfriend’s brother supposedly has h1n1.

I hope big girl feels better soon and the rest of your family stays well!!

Circle, circle, dot, dot, now you got your cootie shot, so at least that’s one vaccine you don’t have to worry about any more. LOL!
