Animal Kingdom first…
Why?
Because Scott posted a baby giraffe photo and I wanted to too!
Isn’t he sweet??
Now, there is no shortage of babies at Animal Kingdom right now…check out this darling…
Mama was very protective, but loved showing him off to the crowd.
And my babies were completely fascinated by the hippos and fish in the viewing tank area…
Check out Mr. Sleeping Hippo…
He would come up for air every 4-5 minutes or so, which was cause for great delight in the crowd.
Love this park! More to share from here later, but it’s a start. 🙂
A Half Hour a Day

OMG! Now I cannot WAIT to go to DAK in October! MUST see that baby gorilla! We’ve been going to Disney for almost 15 years now and I remember how excited everyone was at Animal Kingdome when the baby animals started to arrive (a good sign that the habitats were working!) We did see a baby gorilla a few years back but s/he wasn’t this small. Such wonderful shots!
Oh, Tracy…we watched for EVER! I think I could have stayed all day. Very entertaining, sweet little thing. You should have seen Mama sit up at attention when the male came out from the cave. I wish I could have read her mind in that moment. She didn’t take her eyes off him or let her guard down until he meandered back into the caves.
Excellent, KD! The gorilla family was not out the morning I was there and the hippos were not close enough to the glass. I did get some of the bachelors looking…well, like bachelors. 🙂
Our timing couldn’t have been more perfect. 🙂 We have never been this lucky before.
