To See the Beauty…

I finally faced the fact that my poor tulips had seen the end of their time with me.

But as I went to throw them away, their shriveled petals caught the sun, and I simply HAD to spend a few more minutes with them.  These were all taken with my 50mm lens with a magnifying filter, no flash.

May we always see past the shriveled and sunken to see the beauty.

Wow, really neat close-ups! Didn’t know you could get that close with a 50mm and a filter.

I’ve been off inspecting my skin in the mirror. Maybe if I just looked at it with the right light, the right perspective . . . ah well. Fortunately the fur children measure beauty in terms of treats. To them I will always be lovely. (Except on those occasions when red flames shoot out of my eyes and I point at Something and ask, in the Voice of Doom, Who Did This?)

Very interesting, particularly to see textures I’d normally miss.
    🙂

Maybe the tulips ended their time with you.
But they came to a looong time with all of us here.
    Good work!
