Only the Beginning

So, as you already know, it all starts with a throw pillow, or in this case, a big house renovation. With the upcoming work soon to begin, we couldn’t just leave the rest of the house all shabby and untouched. The kitchen is the first room to get the treatment. It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost 10 years since we last painted it! I was pretty tired of the dark green, as much as I liked it when we first did it. It was time to lighten and brighten things up.
After going through a few samples and color ideas, we came right back around to green, albeit a much different shade. We will see when all is said and done whether or not I like it, but at least it will be fresh and clean when it’s finished.
Of course then will come the downstairs bathroom, then the dining room, then the entryway and staircase and so on and so on. You get the idea!
Stay tuned!

And one thing leads to another, and another, and another. Our house is like painting the Golden Gate Bridge. When we finally get it all done, it’s is time to start over again! I looks like it is going to be beautiful, KD. πŸ™‚

It’s crazy isn’t it Ted?! There’s always something that needs doing. Zan painted the ceiling and trim last night and it already looks so much brighter and fresh. πŸ™‚

Best of luck with your project Danielle! I understand how it feels – I’ve gotten to that point where I’d like to do a lot of replacing – rugs, floors, etc – but it will have to wait.

Oh, I so can relate!! When we were redoing our living room, the walls were green and I was CERTAIN we’d change the color. But, just like you, we ended up with a different green! Still made such a difference, though. I often wonder what will happen in 10 years… πŸ˜‰

    Good luck with the projects!

Our house knows what it wants and it seems to like green. πŸ˜‰
Now that we have more of it on the walls, I’m beginning to really like it. But now THAT green clashes with the dining room green….you know what that means!
